The other thing to avoid is getting a credit card that you cannot afford to pay. Credit cards are a vicious circle where if you are not careful you will be just servicing the interest hence it can ruin your finances. Therefore, avoid the use of credit cards and buy just what you can afford for now as you wait for the economy and your financial status to stabilize.
